You will probably remember learning all about Piet Mondrian at school, renowned for his abstract paintings; monochrome grids filled with large blocks of primary colours.
You many not be so familiar with is early work, which is of stark contrast to the style he is best known for.
I love this early work, and every time I chance upon one of his drawings, it makes me want to take my pencils, sketch book, and plonk myself in the middle of the closest park.
